One Legged Mountain Climber

Ameer was your typical active kid. He played sports, and when his leg hurt he just chalked it up to muscle cramps. But at age 13, doctors diagnosed Ameer with bone cancer. He had the choice to replace the infected bone with steel or amputate the leg. The latter was the safer choice as the steel would have been costly and the cancer could have come back. Ameer almost fell into a depression, as any kid would who suddenly had to give up what they love. But Ameer wouldn’t let the loss of his leg stop him. He got better slowly and steadily. Today at age 20, Ameer is climbing mountains and inspiring others.
