Fan shares World Series with late father

Wayne Williams, who lives in North Carolina, drove home to Greenwood, Indiana to keep a promise to his father.

Wayne and his father, also named Wayne, made a pact over a decade ago that when the Cubs got into the World Series they would make sure to listen to the games together. Williams’ father passed away at the age of 53 in 1980. The Navy veteran is buried in the military section of Greenwood Forest Lawn Cemetery. This is where Williams set up camp to uphold his part of the bargain. Watch the video here. (via For The Win, USA Today Sports, WTHR)
