From Silver to Priceless

In Poland, Piotr Malachowski is one of the top Olympic discus throwers. He has not one, but two silver medals and holds the record for the fifth-longest discus throw EVER! When he came home from Rio, he was flooded with well wishes and congratulations. However, one letter from a mother of a 3 year old stood out to him the most. Goshia wrote that her son was suffering from retinoblastoma, also known as eye cancer.  Malachowski knew it was “fate” that he received this letter. So he decided to help by auctioning off his most recent silver medal from Rio.
