Fallen Soldier’s Tribute

Jeff Beurline entered his local bar in Connecticut and asked to speak with the owner. He wanted to leave a cold one on the bar all day to honor the memory of fallen soldier, Lt. Michael P. Murphy, who was killed in action.

He explained that he wanted to leave sufficient funds to buy a random person a Guinness every hour that day. The owner not only agreed to pour the drinks, he also offered to pay for the cost of the beer.

Beurline bought Murphy a Guinness and propped a reserved sign on the beer, along with an American flag. He left the cold one on the bar for Murphy all day.
